When developing and operating our hydroelectric power systems, Skagerak Kraft must take many interests into account. Our goal is to achieve a sustainable water management:

  • Rivers and watercourses are important as a landscape element and ecosystem. Necessary interventions must be performed in a way that causes as little disturbance as possible.
  • Waterways have an important function in both drought and flood situations
  • Multiple uses for the population in the form of recreation, transport and as water supply for households, industry and agriculture.
  • Skagerak Kraft carries out annual environmental activities in connection with its hydroelectric facilities.
