Skagerak Kraft produces hydroelectric power in Southern Norway. In the last ten years, the company has had an average production of 5.7 TWh, distributed among its 49 wholly or partially owned production plants.
Hydroelectric power has many advantages – it is renewable, clean, reliable, flexible and produces cheap energy for generation after generation. Efficient operation of hydroelectric power production requires major investments in power plant facilities, dams and other infrastructure. To succeed with sustainable hydroelectric power production, long-term focus and a continual focus on health, safety and the environment are essential. Skagerak Kraft has been in the business of producing hydroelectric power for over 100 years and is proud to remain at the forefront of the Norwegian power market.
