Brokke
Brokke Power Plant is located in Valle municipality, Aust-Agder county and is one of Norway’s largest power stations.
The power plant utilises a 303-metre waterfall from Botsvatnet lake, which is regulated between 551 and 495 metres above sea level. Botsvatnet receives water from Holen Power Plant. Water is also taken in from 11 rivers and stream inlets. From Botsvatnet, water is conveyed through a 31-kilometre long tunnel to Brokke Power Station.
Brokke is one of Norway’s largest power stations. Three of its four generators were commissioned in 1964-1965. The final generator was commissioned in 1976. All generators have Francis turbines with a total output of 328 MW.
