Grytåi Power Plant is located right by the dam and the intake to Fjone Power Plant. It is a run-of-the-river power plant that utilises a 119-metre waterfall. The installed output is 0.85 MW. The power plant has a Pelton turbine with a maximum flow rate of 0.87 m3/s. The penstock is approx. 930 m long and has a diameter of 600 mm. A 4.2 km, 22 kV cable system has been built from Fjalestadgrendi to the Grytåi mini power plant. A minimum flow requirement of 43 l/s applies at the Grytåi intake. The catchment area is 18.7 square kilometres.
