Outdoor life and tourism
The overall impact of the measure on outdoor life has been assessed as medium negative in relation to the visual value of the rivers for outdoor activities. The value of Omnesfossen waterfall and Skogsåa river have been given the most emphasis.
The measure will have both negative and positive impacts on other forms of active outdoor life with direct links to or use of the rivers. The measure will have a low negative impact on fishing and hiking and a medium negative impact on whitewater kayaking in the river Skogsåa. The flow in the main watercourse will be of a magnitude that is well suited for swimming. Swimming by the Omnesfossen waterfall will therefore be possible far more often after development than it is today. The degree of impact on swimming is medium positive.
For tourism, the measure is assessed to have a low negative impact, as the impact is mostly linked to reduced flow in the Omnesfossen waterfall.
For other forms of active outdoor life with direct links to or use of the river, the measure will have both negative and positive impacts. -
