Ala Power Plant
On 30 November 2016, Skagerak Kraft AS was granted permission to develop and operate Ala Power Plant. After buying out a local waterfall owner, Skagerak is developing a small-scale power plant in Vang municipality in Oppland county under its own framework.

Ala Power Plant will have a waterfall height of approx. 350 metres and an annual production of approx. 15 GWh. The power plant will be located about 300 metres downstream of the confluence between Ala and Begna rivers according to the plans.
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) granted a licence for the project in 2016. Since then, Skagerak Kraft has bought out a local waterfall owner and is developing the project under its own framework.
The project is now in the detailed planning stage, and a decision about the development is expected in autumn 2019.
